Infant + Toddler Swim Lessons on Long Island | Survival Swim Training

SEAL Team Survival Swim + PT provides one-on-one, developmentally informed survival swim instruction—designed to teach infants and young children breath control, how to roll to float, and move safely in the water if they ever end up in the water alone.

These are not traditional swim lessons.

It’s a structured, short-term program led by a pediatric physical therapist, focused on survival— with skill mastery in weeks - not years.

Why Water Safety Matters

Living on Long Island means we can't avoid the water - and the threat that comes with it.
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under 5, and often happens quickly and quietly, even when adults are nearby. Teaching children how to find air and float independently gives them time — and time can save a life.

Who are these lessons for?

These lessons are designed for children 6 months and older, for families who want to introduce water safety early — during the most effective years for learning.

SHORT-DISTANCE SWIM

WHEN CHILDREN ARE DEVELOPMENTALLY READY, THEY WILL LEARN TO INCORPORATE A SHORT SWIM INTO THEIR SURVIVAL SKILL SET

A Unique Lesson Structure

Short, frequent lessons support how young children learn motor skills.

Children attend lessons four days per week (Monday through Thursday) for a maximum of 10 minutes per lesson, typically over 4–6 weeks, depending on each child’s progression. Short lessons allow practice to remain focused, effective, and developmentally appropriate.

For planning purposes, you should be able to commit to at least 6 weeks of lessons.

What Parents Say About Us

Devon, Cutchogue

I travel an hour each way to lessons and I would do it over and over again because of how confident I am in Kristine’s ability as an instructor.

Marykate, Port Jeff

"Kristine gained my trust quickly as I watched her ease my son into the pool.  She knew exactly what he was capable of...

Joining SEAL Team was the best decision we made for him."

Katy, Bayport

Kristine has credentials unlike any survival swim instructor. Having a PT handling my children and dedicated to their safety made for an amazing experience. Her professionalism, patience, and love for her small clients shines through every day.
